About our Senior Pastor:
Bishop Oscar Lewis has dedicated over twenty years to ministry, during which he has held the role of minister and served as the Business Administrator for the church. He is married to Diane and is the proud father of five children, as well as a grandfather to five grandsons and four lovely granddaughters.
Bishop Lewis completed the Church of God Ministerial Internship Seminary Program, graduating and receiving his ordination as Bishop in 1995. For the past six years, he has been the Senior Pastor of Faith Deliverance Church of God. Additionally, he serves as a Master Pastor for the Churches of God Ministers Internship Program, where he is certified to train new pastors. Under his leadership, Faith Deliverance Church of God has developed numerous ministries, including the Respite Care Ministries, which provides home companions to assist elderly individuals who are ill or homebound.
He has also played a key role in establishing the Food Ministry, which supplies both perishable and non-perishable food items. Bishop Lewis is a veteran of the United States Air Force and earned his bachelor's degree from LaSalle University in 1975, followed by a master's degree in Christian ministry from Jacksonville Seminary College in 2005.
With over a decade of experience working with at-risk elementary, middle, and high school students, Bishop Lewis co-founded the New Beginnings Community Development Center. In 1995, he initiated a weekend youth program aimed at exposing children to diverse cultural and ethnic experiences. The program's success attracted the interest of friends and families in the community, leading to further engagement. Consequently, Mr. Lewis took the initiative to apply for the educational institution known as New Beginnings in Riviera Beach. He is now the co-founder of Feeding Hope Village, Riviera Beach which serve our community thru sharing the Love of God and brining support through the Word of God and crisis prevention services to help people get healthier, spiritually and physically.
